1. What is my mailbox number?
If your mailbox is a single account like a Classic
Messenger, or direct Fax On-Demand then your mailbox
number is the last four (4) digits of your personal
local telephone number. If your mailbox is a Toll
Free Messenger, or if your mailbox is part of a Virtual
Office family product then your mailbox number was
assigned during your account setup. If you cannot
locate the initial configuration worksheet then please
contact Voiceplus and we will gladly assist you. [top]
2. What is my password?
Due to security reasons, we don't post default password
information on the website. Please contact
Voiceplus for information regarding initial or default
passwords. If you have forgotten your password
then please contact us and we will reset your password
to the original or default value. Users are encouraged to change
their password as quickly as possible after service
activation.
Passwords can be one to ten digits. [top]
3. How do I access my voice mail to retrieve messages
or change options?
To access your voice mail:
a) dial your personal voicemail telephone number
b) when you hear the outgoing
message start to play, press *
c) if you are dialing a virtual office, then you will be
prompted to enter your mailbox number
d) enter your personal password when prompted for
your password
If the password is accepted you will hear "You have
... messages..."

4. How do I access one of my other voice
mailboxes without having to hang-up and call back in?
To access another mailbox while in your mailbox:
a) make sure you are at the main menu that plays
"You have ?? messages. Press 1 for new
messages, press 2 for saved messages...etc."
b) press *, you will be prompted for the mailbox number
of another mailbox
c) enter your personal password when prompted for
your password
If the password is accepted you will hear "You have
... messages..."

5. I do not want to listen to the greeting when I get
someone's voice mail, is there a way to bypass it?
You can skip a voice mail greeting by pressing *
after the greeting starts to play. [top]
6. How do I divert my calls to voice mail?
Contact your local telephone company (such as
Bellsouth) to have your calls diverted to voice
mail. There are three scenarios that could apply:
a) You want calls to ring your telephone and only
transfer to voicemail if you lines are busy or if you do
not answer. In this scenario you will tell the
telephone company that you want "busy
forwarding" and "no-answer forwarding"
activated on your lines to transfer to your private
voicemail telephone number.

b) You want calls to always ring directly to voice
mail. In this scenario you will activate
"call-forwarding" on your main telephone line
and follow the directions of your local telephone
provider to forward calls to your private voicemail
number.

c) You want calls to ring your telephone during the day
and you want to forward calls to voicemail after-hours.
In this scenario you will activate "call-forwarding
variable" on your main telephone line and follow
the directions of your local telephone provider to
forward calls to your private voicemail number.

7. Can I change the number of rings
before my call is transferred to voice mail?
Contact your local telephone company (such as Bellsouth)
for information on changing the number of rings before
your calls are transferred to voice mail.[top]
8. Can I transfer a call directly to
someone's voice mail?
If you have activated the "third party
conference/call transfer" feature with your local
telephone company then you can easily transfer calls
into voicemail. While talking with the caller,
simply press the "flash" (or equivilant)
button on your telephone and the caller will be put on
hold. At that point you should hear dial-tone and
you can dial the voicemail number or enter the
speed-dial code for the desired voicemail number.
When you hang-up, the caller will be connected with the
dialed voice mail. (Hint: this feature can also be
used to transfer callers to cell phones, home offices,
remote offices, etc.)

9. How do I change the
password for my voice mailbox? a). Log into your mailbox (see
#3 above)
b) From the main menu press 4 for mailbox options
c) From the "mailbox options" menu press 2 to change
options
d) From the "change mailbox options" menu press 4 to
change your personal password
e) You will be prompted to "enter the new password
using tones 0 through 9 and when finished press the
"#" key.
f) Enter your new password followed by the "#"
key, you will be prompted that "the password you
entered is _____, if the password is correct press 1, or
if you would like to re-enter your password press 2, to
cancel this password modification press the
"#" key"
g) If you press 1 the password is changed, if you press
2 go back to step "e)", if you press "#" the
password is not changed.
(Hint: to quickly change your password, simply press
"424" after logging into your mailbox, and
then follow the prompts) [top]
10. How do I select a different greeting for my mailbox?
a). Log into your mailbox (see
#3 above)
b) From the main menu press 4 for mailbox options
c) From the "mailbox options" menu press 2 to change
options
d) From the "change mailbox options" menu press
1 to select a greeting and you will hear that "your
current personal greeting is greeting number ..."
e) You will then be asked to "select the personal
greeting number that will play..." Your main personal
greeting is greeting number 0, your no answer greeting
is number 8 (if applicable), and your busy greeting is greeting number
9 (if applicable). You also
have all the greetings in between (2 through 7) to use
for any purposes you designate.
f) Once you have selected the personal greeting to
play, you will hear "the personal greeting
you have selected is ....if the selected personal
greeting is correct, press 1"
g) If you press 1 the selected greeting becomes active, if you press
2 go back to step "e)", if you press "#" the
greeting is not changed.
(Hint: to quickly change your greeting, simply press
"421" after logging into your mailbox, and
then follow the prompts)
Please Note: Make sure your greeting is recorded
before selecting it as your active greeting. Voice mailboxes default your
personal greeting to greeting number 0. [top]
11. How do I record a greeting to be played for my mailbox?
a). Log into your mailbox (see
#3 above)
b) From the main menu press 4 for mailbox options
c) From the mailbox options menu press 2 to change
options
d) From the mailbox options menu press 5 to
record your personal greeting
e) You will then be asked "which personal greeting
would you like to record?". Your main personal
greeting is greeting number 0, your no answer greeting
is number 8 (if applicable), and your busy greeting is greeting number
9 (if applicable). You also
have all the greetings in between (2 through 7) to use
for any purposes you designate.
f) Once you have selected the personal greeting to
record you will hear "to hear the current greeting
first press 1 to go ahead and record press 2"
g) If you press 1 you will hear "the message you
will be recording over is" and then your current
message, at the end of your greeting you will hear
"to record this message now press 1, to cancel
press the pound key"
h) If you press 1 you will hear "record at the
tone, when finished press the pound key". When you
hear the tone record your personal greeting, followed by
the "#" key.
Please Note: Voice mailboxes default your
personal greeting to greeting number 0. [top]
12. How do I record a busy greeting for my mailbox?
First, make sure that call-result specific greetings
have been activated for your mailbox (see #13 below).
After that, record personal greeting number 9, which is
your "busy" greeting (see #11 above for
detailed instructions on recording greetings). [top]
13. Sometimes I hear a greeting telling me that someone
can not get the phone and sometimes I hear a greeting
that says they are on the phone. Can I set up my voice
mail to do that too?
This feature is commonly used in conjunction with
the live-connect feature. To utilize call-result
specific greetings, you will need to record different
pre-call, busy, and no-answer greetings that are played
for your callers. Due to the additional recording
requirements for you to utilize this feature, it is not
activated by default. However, there is no
additional charge to have this feature activated.

14. I deleted a message by accident.
Is there any way to recover it?
Any deleted messages can be recovered the same day
only. If you need to have a message recovered,
contact Voiceplus support immediately. If you wait
until after midnight on the day the message was deleted,
then recovery will not be possible. [top]
15. How do I find out when
a message was sent to me?
While listening to the message in question, press 4
to hear the message envelope. The message envelope
includes the date and time the message was left. [top]
16. How do I find out the telephone number
of a caller when
a message was left for me?
While listening to the message in question, press 4
to hear the message envelope. The message envelope
includes the caller-ID of the caller who left the
message. If the caller has privacy enabled (blocks
caller ID) then this information will not be available. [top]
17. How do I find out the telephone
numbers for callers that didn't leave a message?
Automated call-detail reports will provide detailed
information regarding every call into your voice
mail. Included in this detailed information is the
caller-ID of every call, whether the caller left a
message or not. Call detail reports, when active,
will deliver detailed call log information to your fax
machine on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. If
you are not taking advantage of automated call detail
reports then contact Voiceplus to activate this
